Tokyo at the Getty

The Getty will be showing “In Focus: Tokyo,” from August 5 to December 14, 2014 ¹. This exhibit collects the work of Shigeichi Nagano, Mikiko Hara, Masato Seto and Daido Moriyama. I think there will be a lecture event of some sort in October, but I don’t have the details yet. I will look forward to seeing the work of Nagano and Hara in particular.

Shigeichi Nagano

Caille Millner ¹ has written an excellent article for American Suburb X about Shigeichi Nagano ², the famed magazine photographer. I don’t have it, but I think “Distant Gaze” ³ is probably his best book. A volume of his magazine work ⁴ also came out a couple of years ago.
